Witnessing Natural Power

While I was still an intern with Spine Stop, I had several opportunities to really take the lead with patient management and really grow as a doctor.

One patient in particular was a woman in her mid 30’s. She came in having severe pain going down her arm. The only way she could get any sort of relief was by raising her arm over her head. During our exam, she was only able to lower her arm for maybe 2 minutes before the pain was too much to bear.

After looking through the X-rays and exam, we came up with a treatment plan that we were confident would get her out of pain.

During the first treatment, she could hardly lay on the table and everything was tender to the touch. The next time she came in, she was still needing to hold her arm over her head, but after talking to her, she told me that she was actually able to get some sleep after that first adjustment. We continued to adjust and do some dry needling over the next week. Just a couple adjustments in and she finally was able to walk in without having to hold her hand over her head. We continued with the treatment plan, and she was eventually able to go on vacation pain free.

This was a really amazing experience for me because it was the first time I got to use chiropractic to truly change someone’s life.
